The Red Mountain Search Dog Association only responds to official call out requests made by law enforcement and other first responders.

If you are with a local, state, or federal agency and would like to request the assistance of our live find or HRD search dog teams or our other search and rescue professional resources, please call 205-541-4051.

A: Nothing. The Red Mountain Search Dog Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded through donations and grants.

A: The Red Mountain Search Dog Association maintains certifications that exceed, comply with, follow, or use as guidance the following organizations or programs:

  • NIMS/NIC – National Incident Management System / National Integration Center
  • ASTM International
  • NFPA – National Fire Protection Association
  • DHS/FEMA – Department of Homeland Security
  • DOD Orders – Department of Defense

Q: What is your response time?

A: Our average response time across Central Alabama is about 1 hour. Additional time would be needed for further travel if required.

Q: What is your coverage area?

A: Although the Red Mountain Search Dog Association primarily responds to searches within the Central Alabama area, we are available for deployment anywhere within the Southeast if needed.
