Local K9 search and rescue team receives national certification
Birmingham, Alabama (April 2, 2016) – Seven volunteers with the Red Mountain Search Dog Association (RMSDA) of Birmingham, Alabama are now nationally certified for search and rescue operations.
The National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) certified the seven volunteers on Saturday at an all-day event held in Pinson, Alabama.
The NASAR SARTECH II certified members are now able to search for missing, injured, and/or endangered persons when local law enforcement agencies request assistance.
Red Mountain Search Dog Association Director Stephen Burton states, “I am very proud of the hard work the team has put into our program. It is an honor to work with such dedicated individuals.”
The Red Mountain Search Dog Association is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization providing supplemental Emergency Medical Services, manpower, specialized equipment, and skills to public safety agencies and communities across Central Alabama.
